Durham County Council was delighted to meet with stakeholders in December online via Teams to plan for the forthcoming year of REBUS activity. We were pleased to welcome Alan Millar from the North East and Yorkshire Energy Hub who are the lead agency for the policy instrument we are engaged with here in the UK.
In addition, it was the first REBUS meeting for our new Climate lead at Durham – Cllr Mark Wilkes who is the Cabinet Member for Neighbourhoods and Climate Change. He was pleased to hear about the plans for the year ahead and is looking forward to meeting all the partners when they visit Durham later in the year.
Other committed partners included Durham Community Action, The North East Local Enterprise Partnership, the Coal Authority and the Durham Energy Institute.
In addition to this main meetings partners have been meeting separately to discuss different aspects of the work related to REBUS.
