The 2nd Stakeholder Meeting in UK was held in Coventry on 13th June 2019.
The event was organised by the Lead Partner Coventry University Enterprises Ltd and involved the participation of several local stakeholders from policy makers, industry, local government and university sectors.
The event started with a presentation about the project objectives, the main expected results and outputs, the current status of the project and the role of the stakeholders.
It was followed by a presentation from a local Transport SME, Aurrigo, a spin out company from RDM Group born to exploit its driverless technology. Leaders in first and last mile autonomous technology, they design, manufacture and deploy autonomous vehicles globally. They are headquartered in Coventry, but have offices in Australia, USA and Canada.
Initial findings from the RECREATE ‘Transport SME Competitiveness’ report were also presented: it was given an overview of the current status of the Transport SMEs in the West Midlands/Warwickshire region and the results were discussed by the participants. The report is still in progress: the final version will be ready by the end of the third semester of the project and a slim version will also be printed and distributed, as well as uploaded on the website.
A final session took place about Good Practices in the region. The RECREATE project team presented an initial list that the participants discussed and integrated with some more good examples of practices in the region.
