The Lithuanian Innovation Centre organised two Stakeholder Meetings in Vilnius for the 3rd semester of the RECREATE project.
The first meeting took place on 26th September 2019 and started with an overview of the regional policy in the transport sector in Lithuania, followed by a presentation of the local Good Practices identified. The employment situation in Lithuanian transport sector was analysed, as well as digitalisation opportunities for businesses, especially in the transport sector. Some results from the RECREATE “Transport SME Competitiveness” report were presented as well. The meeting concluded with a discussion between the stakeholders about the transport sector problems and challenges, the innovations that are gaining pace in the sector, the improvements needed. The participants agreed that cooperation with the ICT sector could boost innovation in transport, deliver new products more quickly to the market, meet the challenges and the demands of the clients.
The second meeting was held on 27th November 2019 and followed a similar agenda. The presentations were followed by discussions between stakeholders about Smart specialisation, possible transferability to other regions, the innovation level and the economic and social value of the Good Practices.
