The 5th Stakeholder Meeting in Romania was organised by the Regional Development Agency South-West Oltenia on 12th November 2020 online because of the restrictions caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. It was attended by members of the RECREATE Project team as well as regional stakeholders.
The meeting focused on three main topics and themes:
- Update on the implementation of the RECREATE Project
- Smart Specialisation and SMEs in the Transport sector in the South-West Oltenia region
- Internationalisation and access to foreign markets
Successful examples of close collaboration between RDA South-West Oltenia, University of Craiova, SMEs in the field of transport, local administration, RDI institutions, banking sector, business environment, SME associations and technology brokers show how cooperation between local stakeholders develop opportunities within the South-West Oltenia region to capitalize on the potential in the field of smart specialisation. At the same time, internationalisation and access to foreign markets are important ways to boost the operational capacity of local Transport-related SMEs.
The attendants participated actively to the meeting and suggested possible solutions and ideas to improve the SMEs status in the area.
