On 26th January 2021, a UK Stakeholder Meeting was held online in conjunction with the e-smartec project. The event was organised by the Lead Partner Coventry University Enterprises Ltd and involved the participation of a few representatives of the Coventry City Council.

The main aim of the meeting was to discuss the West Midlands Action Plan due to be finalised by the end of phase 1 for both projects. The lessons learnt from the cooperation with the other Regions will be used to modify existing schemes and try to achieve a specific Performance Indicator as well as to contribute to the shared Results Indicators expected to be achieved by the whole Project Partnership.

Regarding RECREATE, the suggestions put forward during past stakeholder meetings have been discussed. Transport SMEs are struggling in the Covid-19 scenario, therefore the Action Plan will aim at supporting them in a more efficient manner in the current uncertain and unstable circumstances.

The second part of the meeting was dedicated to the e-smartec project where Coventry University Enterprises Ltd is one of the Partners. Its purpose is to support the implementation of SUMPs and enhance its impact by identifying marketing techniques that can help engage key actors and travellers. The scenario coming out of the pandemic has changed the priorities of the Council, therefore the Action Plan focus has changed as well and seems to move towards micro-mobility. New ideas have been discussed and will be analysed more in depth before final approval.
