The RECREATE project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and implemented under the Interreg Europe programme. Its aim is to improve the capacity and capability of regional transport Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in four European Regions: West Midlands (UK), South Aegean Region (Greece), Lithuania and South West Oltenia (Romania).

Within the project, a Good Practices Handbook has been developed and is available online on the project website in the library section (https://www.interregeurope.eu/fileadmin/user_upload/tx_tevprojects/library/file_1616427358.pdf).

The Handbook describes the Good Practices identified in the project regions and the methodology used to select them. The document includes a short description of the transport sector in each region, its competitiveness and innovation level; the Good Practices collected with all relevant information like its aim and objectives, results achieved, resources needed for its implementation, transferability potential; an analysis of the main peculiarities and differences between the regions.

The identification of the Good Practices is one of the most important tasks within Interreg Europe projects. By analysing what other regions have and do in order to foster the transport sector development, project partners might find inspiration to resolve local issues and gaps in the transport ecosystem.

All the Good Practices can also be seen directly on the project website on www.interregeurope.eu/recreate/good-practices/ .
