The interregional online meeting organized within the project “Reduces - Rethinking Sustainable Development in European Regions Using Business Models of the Circular Economy” took place between 10-11 December 2020, with the theme “ Circular Economy Business Models - Shared Platforms ”, attended by international partners from Finland, Spain, United Kingdom, Bulgaria and Romania. 

On the first day of the interregional meeting, organized online by the Bulgarian partner Euro Perspectives Foundation, Bulgaria's journey to circular economy and single use plastics challenges was presented, as well as two examples of projects implemented in Bulgaria using sharing platforms: first in waste management and the second in smart energy solutions.

Each partner then presented an example of good practice on Sharing Platforms as follows: “Doerz - a service platform for authentic travel experiences” (Finland); "Matmap - decentralized platform for the sale of recovered ceramic for construction" (Valencia); ”Insert - Market place for reusable building materials, trees and plants” (Utrecht); ”Zoom EV - a peer to peer car sharing platform for Electric Vehicles (Manchester) ”; "CozZo – food, home & personal supplies manager" (Bulgaria). Maramureș presented the example of good practice “CGTN- Green cross-border transport network”, a project implemented by Baia Mare Municipality in the frame of ENI CBC HUSKROUA program, in which 6 charging stations for electric cars have been purchased and installed in Baia Mare city.

The next day, 11 December 2020, the interregional meeting continued with a seminar on the development of action plans, discussing the stakeholder involvement, determination of potential of the partner regions, the identification of each region's priorities and the definition of activities and measures to be included in action plans.

In order to analyse the good practice on sharing platform presented during the interregional meeting, the stakeholders from Maramureș County also participated in an online meeting on December 10, 2020. The stakeholders participating in the meeting analysed the good practices presented so far in REDUCES project, in order to develop the Action Plan on the circular economy in Maramureș County, and they agreed that within the next Stake holder meeting they will discuss and analyse the priorities of Maramureș County in circular economy and the possible activities and measures to be develop in the Action Plan.
