In February 2021, the project team of Maramureș County organized a new stakeholders meeting attended by 10 participants, including Sandu Hotima, the executive director of Intercommunity Development Association for Integrated Household Waste Management in Maramureș County (A.D.I.G.I.D.M.) focusing on the next inter-regional meeting that will be hosted by Maramures and the development of the action plan.
The discussions started with the involvement of A.D.I.G.I.D.M. in the activities of Reduces project, and the interregional meeting, which will be organized between 20-21th of April by Maramureș County with the central theme: Resource Efficiency and Recycling. Besides, the stakeholder was invited to present his ideas of a best practice that can be presented on this topic, and the draft agenda was shaped together.
Sandu Hotima, the executive director of Intercommunity Development Association for Integrated Household Waste Management in Maramureș County (A.D.I.G.I.D.M.), was encouraged to be part of the team that will prepare Maramures County’s action plan and to propose measures or actions to influence on policy instruments at regional and county level.
In addition, the participants had a short debate on the current state of the Circular Economy in Maramureș, the environmental problems facing the Romanian society and economy, but also how the project can lead to the modification of some public policies in Circular Economy.
REDUCES is a project that supports the improvement of regional development policies by promoting business models in the field of sustainable circular economy in six European regions by involving and influencing decision-makers. REDUCES enhances the collaboration and exchange of knowledge between regions.
