On Friday, July 30, 2021, a new meeting of the stakeholders took place in Maramures, within the REDUCES project, in order to discuss the Action Plan in the field of Circular Economy in Maramures. During this meeting, organized by Maramures County Council in a dual system as a direct and online meeting, 16 stakeholders participated, together with the consultants who support the development of the Action Plan in the field of Circular Economy in Maramureș.
The agenda of the meeting included:
- Presentation of the draft Action Plan in the field of circular economy in Maramureș, that will be developed within the REDUCES Project and the proposed actions;
- Presentation of the good practices presented by Maramures on the 5 themes of REDUCES project and, also, the good practices of the partners within the REDUCES project, which inspired us in the elaboration of the Action Plan in the field of the circular economy in Maramureș;
- Discussions based on the plan and other collaboration proposals for future projects.
The first presentation focused on the two directions taken into consideration for the elaboration of the action plan in the field of circular economy in Maramureș, namely:
Action 1. Efficient management of construction waste
Action 2. Improving the process of identifying, sorting and recycling waste by using software technology to connect citizens with public services.
Next, the good practices on the 5 topics of the circular economy proposed by the representatives of Maramureș County were presented, and also the good practices that inspired the elaboration of the action plan in the field of the circular economy in Maramureș.
At the end of the meeting there were discussions based on the action plan and the proposed activities, the participants being interested in the concrete results to be obtained in the second stage of the project when the action plan in the field of circular economy in Maramureș will be implemented.
Also, the representatives of TAPARO company from Târgu Lăpuș presented a research project that will be carried out together with the Universities of Cluj Napoca and Iași for the recycling of textile waste. They are currently in the process of collecting relevant data for the project, and in this regard, they have requested the support of the participating stakeholders in identifying institutions or agencies that could provide concrete data on the quantities of textile waste produced locally and regionally.
