On 22nd of February, 2019 representatives of Pazardzhik Regional Administration participated in discussions at a Round Table on “Challenges and opportunities for development of small farms”, organized by members of our regional stakeholders’ group: “Land Source of Income” Foundation (http://landsourceofincome.org/en/). The event was organised adjacent to FOODTEH, VINARIA and AGRA 2019 International Fair in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. It was also an opportunity to disseminate the REGIONS4Food project and we distributed the project brochure among participants: small farmers, public authorities and agro-food funding organisations, as well as academia and research/technology transfer centres. We also established connections with Bulgarian partners in the Interreg Balkan-Mediterranean FOCUS project (https://www.focuseuproject.com/) which aims at establishing ICT-platform agro-food clusters in the neighbouring Plovidv region including the quadriple helix, and thus contributing to the objectives of the regional smart specialization strategy.
