On 9th April, 2019 in Plovdiv the first regional dissemination event for Regions4Food project was held in Bulgaria. Project coordinators from PRA presented the project and the activities carried out so far on the mapping of PRA’s regional agri-food digitization status according to the project methodology. The event served as external communication of the project and raised awareness on the importance of digitization of the agro-food sector for the wider South-Central region in Bulgaria. The event was adjacent to a scheduled high-level meeting of the Regional Development Council of South-Central region in Bulgaria under the Presidency of the Regional Governor of Plovdiv. The audience outnumbered 55 people and included major policy-makers and policy experts: regional governors, vice-governors and mayors of the regions of Plovdiv, Pazardzhik, Haskovo, Smolyan and Kardzhali; representatives of major employers’ associations and trade unions, business support organisations and agri-businesses, academia/research and NGOs in the wider South-Central region, part of which is PRA.
