The Pazardzhik Regional Administration organised and hosted the 3rd Steering Committee meeting and the 3rd Interregional Seminar on 25 and 26 November 2019 in Velingrad. On November 27, a Study Visit was organized on the premises of Plovdiv Agricultural University to present Bulgarian good practices of public policies and measures to support digitalisation in the agri-food sector in the Country.

The opening presentation of the Agricultural university was given by the Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Svetla Yancheva. Presentations followed: “Land-Source Income” Foundation (Prof. Ivan Penov and Assoc. Prof. Georgi Georgiev), the NEFERTITI Project (Stanimir Stefanov / National Agriculture Advisory Service), the National Program “IT Career” (Mrs. Dora Dulcheva/Pazardzhik Regional Inspectorate of Education) and the Demonstration Center for E-Commerce in Agricultural and Other Products recently opened at the Agricultural University of Plovdiv within the framework of the Initiative “16 + 1”, as well as its Logistics Hub and Pavillion in the Trakia Economic Zone of Plovdiv (Mr. Vasil Gelev / Director of the Association for Аgricultural Cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European Countries).

18 representatives of all project partners organizations showed great interest in the initiatives presented and expressed satisfaction and appreciation for the excellent organization and the opportunities provided for the exchange and sharing of experience between partners. Along with other Study Visit presentations organised by other project partners, Bulgaria's examples can be used as a basis for developing the future Action Plans for incorporating public measures to promote digitization in the agri-food sector in forthcoming programming and strategic policy documents in project partner Regions.
