Regions 4Food project supports the agri-innovation digitization. The aim is to close the gap between the innovation sector and the market, as well to bring developments to the market in the form of marketable products. At this meeting the three Hungarian good practices were showcased and discussed.

At the beginning STRIA greeted the participants and presented the Regions 4Food Interreg Europe project to the online audience.

At first Fino Food Ltd. introduced the company, which is a dairy production and processing enterprise covering the entire value chain. After this the main topic of the lecture was the robotic-based dairy product development. Thanks to technical innovations, the company is constantly evolving, including in the areas of traceability, agent measurement and efficiency (such as automation).


This was followed by the presentation of the head of the Industry 4.0 Technology Center which makes part of the Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Center for University-Industry Cooperation. Industry 4.0 Technology Center, presented their food industry sample factories.

Then the Sample Factory Priority Project was presented, the aim of which is to prepare domestic producing SMEs for the challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Following that the mission and vision of the Technology Center was introduced, as well as its collaborating partners. 

The last presentation was of the Campden BRI Hungary Nonprofit Ltd., being showcased by its managing director. During his presentation the possibilities of modernizing the food processing industry with the help of Industry 4.0. were discussed. After that a strategy for modernizing the food industry using this project was discussed, in addition the drivers of R&D&I in support of modernization also.

On the online meeting 50 participants were present, and the Hungarian good practices were introduced and discussed together with a professional audience.
