STFI organised a first meeting of the Saxon stakeholder group which took place at STFI premises on 8th of September 2016. The agenda included a presentation of the INTERREG EEUROPE Programme (by a representative of the Saxon State Ministry of the Environment and Agriculture), a project presentation of RESET, an overview of STFI’s research activities in the field of textile recycling, the introduction of the Textile Center of Lightweight Engineering at STFI and the carbon recycling technology as well as a visit of STFI’s technical facilities. A discussion was initiated on how the project results can be transferred into the Saxon region and where the focus to transfer regional strategies can be seen. Furthermore, the stakeholders offered support in publishing project news in their newsletters and in organising project-related events. Involved stakeholders were: Saxon State Ministry of Environment and Agriculture (SMUL); Saxon State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Labour and Transport (SMWA); Association of the East-German Textile and Clothing Association (VTI); Chamber of Commerce Chemnitz (IHK); Saxon Economic Development Agency (WfS), Technical University of Chemnitz, INNtex Innovation Netzwerk Textil.
