Making changes in a Policy Instrument requires the involvement of key actors, like entities dedicated to the transfer of knowledge from the Scientific fields to the Business networks.
One of the most important entities in Extremadura is CICYTEX, the Centre for the Scientific and Technological Research of Extremadura, where AGENEX was presenting RESindustry project last 25th of October.
CICYTEX is currently working on the development of different technologies. Jerónimo González, Head of the Department of Extensive Crops, has introduced new renewable technologies for greenhouse heating (specially biomass), very interesting for the agricultural companies of the region. CICYTEX is also doing research for improving the manufacturing of pellets with the waste of "triticale" (an hybrid cereal which is a cross between wheat and rye).
