The semester began with the celebration of the second Interregional Event of the project in Dornbirn, Austria. The IE2 gathered partners and project stakeholders and it was developed on-site on 3-4 March, just before the travelling restrictions were applied due to the COVID-19 crisis.

Regarding the technical progress of the project, in this semester partners have collected 10 examples of good practices from each region.

Also, every partner has celebrated local stakeholders' meetings were project advances were shown. Stakeholders were informed about the results of the project, especially the information concerned about developing the best practices.

Project partners and colleagues from their organisations participated in internal meetings where the activities of RESINDUSTRY were reported. They shared experiences with good practices in the industry sector.

Regionally speaking, these are the main achievements that RESINDUSTRY partners have reached in semester 2:

  • LP-CTU UCEEB

CTU UCEEB is proud of the fact that the RESINDUSTRY project is mentioned in the Czech National Energy and Climate Plan for the period 2021-2030 (by Ministry Industry and Trade CZ) as a specific example of a cross-border cooperation project. In addition, the first Local Stakeholder Group took place on 11 June 2020, where CTU UCEEB presented an overview of best practices collected in the project. The following discussion with stakeholders led to a set of recommendations for the Managing Authority, the Ministry of Industry and Trade CZ, which defined what needs to be done to increase the implementation of renewable in companies. These recommendations will be presented to the Managing Authority at the next meeting in Semester 3.

  • LAB

LAB is proud of the ongoing discussions with the Regional Council (one of the RESINDUSTRY stakeholders) on possible RESINDUSTRY contribution to the upcoming regional strategy - The Climate Mitigation Roadmap. More specifically, exploring the potential of biogas production in the region. Discussions and research will continue in the coming months. The issue of the roadmap has been postponed due to the COVID-19, the first issue is expected later this year with regular updates, where insights from RESINDUSTRY can be applied to emphasise the RES implementation in the industry sector.

  • AGENEX

Partners from AGENEX are proud of the first Local Stakeholder meeting, which took place in Mérida on 13 February 2020. This event gathered several companies from the region and representative of Managing Authorities. Mr Miguel Ángel de la Calle, from the General direction of External Action, informed about the different financial tools that the OP 2014-2020 has, and explained the diversity of funds and grants where RESINDUSTRY can influence in. The project was presented to the stakeholders in a low carbon economy context, stressing how RESINDUSTRY can support and improve the regional policies in Extremadura.

  • TREA

During March and April, partners from Estonia were discussing with stakeholders on upcoming developments with the policy instrument and were working on the selection of good practices. They were considering the best approach for planned stakeholder event due to COVID-19 crisis.  TREA cooperated with the Environmental Investment Centre to find possible solutions to collect missing data for good practices from companies, as well.

  • MOSR

Taking into account that some companies and associations are involved in the good practices template filling in, Polish partners have encountered their willingness to join the project as stakeholders. Thus, six more stakeholders joined the RESINDUSTRY project for this region in Poland, being four of them representatives from companies; some evidence of how appealing is the project to entrepreneurs.

  • FHV

FHV is proud of planning, conducting and reporting events in Vorarlberg with all project partners, local and international stakeholders as well. They were gathered mainly at the International Workshop (IW2), Study Visit (SV2), and consortium/steering committee meeting hosted on 03 - 04 March 2020.

  • MGOZ

Partners from the Ministry for Gozo are proud that, although the very difficult and unprecedented times, with the aid of technology they have managed to continue the project with some tweaks. Also, as in semester 3, the next Interregional event will be held in Gozo, from MGOZ are proud that they have everything in place to host it should health circumstances allow.
