On 18th and 19th of April 2018, Road-CSR partners met in Ålesund, Norway, and visited five companies to see how they incorporate CSR strategies into their daily business. The companies included Scandic Hotels – the inventor of the ‘hang up your towel’ campaign in hotel rooms, the Ålesund Municipality landfill and waste sorting facility, a specialty coffee roastery, Jacu, focused transparency and quality of coffee beans across the supply chain, and two competence centers giving people with physical and social disabilities (Sydvesten), immigrants and those that have been out of the workforce (Brisk) opportunities for job training and employment.
