RUMORE partners are getting ready for the next Interregional Learning Event of the project. This will take place on 15th – 17th May 2018 in Milan, Italy and will give the occasion to discover the Metropolitan Area of Milan as an innovative rural metropoly.
During the first day of the event, project partners and stakeholders will learn about the territorial context and planning structures of Lombardy Region and the urban-rural governance in the Metropolitan Area of Milan. They will get insights into the regional innovation landscape and selected examples of innovation support, such as the Open Innovation Platform and the High Tech Agrofood Cluster of Lombardy. The day will end with a presentation of Good Practices from all partner regions and a possibility for exchange of ideas.
The second day of the event will be dedicated to a study visit in the rural-urban territories of Milan. Project partners and stakeholders will get to know selected initiatives in three of the Rural Districts of Milan: “Olona Valley Rural District”, “Rice and Frogs Rural District” and “Neo-rural District Tre Acque di Milano”.
The three-day programme will end with internal project sessions focused on presentations of policy instruments’ improvement progress, discussions in the project Working Groups and exchange on lessons learnt.
