From the City Council of Medina del Campo has been committed in recent years to develop an important activity around the world of wine and wine tourism, not only with the support for the creation of the Rueda Wine Route, but also with unique and pioneering proposals in Spain to establish a specific vocational training in wine tourism, which promotes the sector and generates employment and seeks to fix and maintain the population in the rural environment, because that is where the wineries, Wine Museums and all the initiatives related to them are located.

Thanks to this support and collaboration the Wine Tourism School of Castilla y Leon, has been teaching face-to-face courses in the territory of Medina del Campo for 3 years where students are trained in different aspects related to the world of wine, management business, marketing and languages.

The employment rate is quite high, and every year Medina del Campo is positioned as a reference in the sector thanks to its support to the Wine Tourism School of Castilla y Leon.

There is still a long way to go, but surely full of successes and new challenges to continue working for a future of growth and development in the rural world.
