The two Trasnfer Webinars of the School Chance project are taking place in March. 

The main objective is to exchange good practices among the partners, on sustainable school mobility developed during the pandemic situation. In the project extension, the partnership have to work on two issues experienced due to COVID-19:

  • School mobility modes: sustainable mobility modes, such as walking and cycling, have been surpassed by an increase in the use of private vehicles travels, at expense of public transport
  • Configuration of public space around schools, which had to be enlarged and adapted to provide physical distance and safety, thus satisfying the changes in families' behavior and socialization habits while accompanying or waiting for their children in the entrance and exit hours.

Transfer webinar 1, 16th of March at 12hReggio Emilia has presented one about modes of transport, Barcelona about the configuration of public space, and Girona about modes of transport:

1- Bike to work from Reggio Emilia.

2- Let’s protect schools from Barcelona.

3- Friendly Shoppers from Girona.


The second Transfer Webinar will take place on the 30th of March and will be the occasion to present other Good Practices from the project’s partners such as: 

1- Gdansk: Adaption of Cycling May Campaign in the pandemic situation.

2- Brasov: Dedicated bus lines for children to travel to & from school.

3- Utrecht: Online solution on traffic education.
