SETUP was on show at the recent Renewable Futures - strategies for transforming energy, conference, held on the 28 November in the beautiful Assembly rooms in Bath, UK. A full agenda included talks from the head of commercial operations at National Grid (the UK system operator), associate partner at Ofgem (the UK energy regulator) and many others key sector leaders. Over 220 delegates were in attendance.

The energy transformation was a major topic of the morning. With a CEO forum discussing the opportunities in the UK and other EU markets. An integration of investors into the agenda was a notable change to that of previous years. With Foresight Group and BlackRock Infrastructure Investment on hand to share their opinions. The former providing useful insight by stating the need for battery costs to fall another 30% before stand alone battery storage projects would be viable without lucrative frequency response contracts (picked up by the media here).

All in all, it was a busy day on the stand with some good conversations and discussions with key stakeholders in the industry.
