Our 5th project meeting, which took place in Algarve (PT) in October, marked the midway point of the interregional learning process we have undertaken within SET-UP.
Based on the analysis of their regional situation in terms of smart grid development and a first exhange of experiences available on their territory, partners and stakeholders have turned their attention to their policy instrument and started identifying concrete opportunities for improvement as well as suitable good practice to transfer to their territory.
Our project meeting in Portugal started with a visit to the Solar Demonstration Platform in the Municipality of Alcoutim, which has been developed and is currently managed by the association Enercoutim. Algarve is a great area for solar energy production and the park aims to be a platform for development and research for solar energy technologies.
The meeting continued the following day with an intensive session of interreonal exchange activities, including presentations and bilateral meetings in preparation of the staff exchanges that will be organised in the oncoming semesters.
Our next project meeting will be held in Lithuania on 10-11 April.
