Dr Helen McGuirk and Dr Aisling ConwayLenihan of the Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence (MTU, Cork) were invited to present at the National University of Ireland Galway Rural Voices series on the 27th April. The title of their presentation was Awareness and potential of the Silver Economy for enterprises and society in rural areas.

They explained the Silver Economy and its economic value to the EU and the potential opportunities for enterprises in this emerging area. They also spoke about the SILVER SMEs Interreg Europe Project and the key outputs of the project, including 72 Good Practices and 8 Action Plans. An interesting discussion followed the presentation with many interesting questions posed from the audience.
