In the Province of Teruel (Spain), 21% of the population is over 65. Ageing is a growing and pressing issue in this Province which is also the second most sparsely populated territory in Spain - with older people mainly living in small villages- and where adapted goods and services for seniors are usually lacking.

However, some initiatives already exist, and the SILVER SMEs project will support the Province of Teruel in building regional policies that can foster the development of the Silver Economy sector.
