SmartPilots Project Manager Brecht Vanlerberghe was invited to present the findings of the SmartPilots project during a workshop entitled: "Investment for industry modernisation in European regions". This workshop was organised on October 10th, 2018 from 2.30 to 5pm by the European Commissions DG GROW (Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs) and DG ECFIN (Economic and Financial Affairs) at the occasion of the European Week of Regions and Cities.
The European Week of Regions and Cities is an annual four-day event during which cities and regions showcase their capacity to create growth and jobs, implement European Union cohesion policy, and prove the importance of the local and regional level for good European governance. The event ran from 9-12 October and was attended by more than 6000 people.
