The European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR) encourages all Europeans and not only to carry out awareness-raising actions about sustainable resource and waste management during a single week in November.
The participants are very diverse. Public authorities from cities, municipalities, regions, and waste management companies; private companies; civil society organisations; schools and universities; as well as citizens themselves are welcome to take part in the EWWR.
Every year, the EWWR awards the most outstanding actions during an Awards Ceremony. The actions are shortlisted and evaluated by a jury made of 6 experienced practitioners in the field of waste prevention.
For the edition that took place in November 2019, the Awards Ceremony will take place online on 25 June 2020 at 14:00 CEST.
