The Austrian stakeholders met online on 13 January 2022 to learn more about the Regional policy action plan for the implementation of energy efficiency measures of SMEs in Burgenland. The event took place as part of the project SMEPlus in the frame of the INTERREG Europe programme.
Project manager Roman Wappl welcomed the participants and provided a status report on the SMEPlus project. The main part of the event was focused on the intervention of the project partner Research Burgenland, who presented the regional policy action plan that is to increase energy efficiency of Burgenland SMEs. A lively exchange on the action plan followed the presentation, and ideas for possible measures in this area were explored.
With this event, phase 1 of the SMEPlus project was completed. Despite the Covid-19 pandemic and some lockdowns, Burgenland was able to successfully complete this phase. In phase 2, the content of the action plan will be evaluated and the results of the action plan will be as well exchanged and evaluated with the other project countries.
