As part of WestBIC regional Action Plan within the Interreg Europe SME POWER project, the Regional Engagement Campaign for SMEs has been organised and piloted by SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) and Clar ICH in June 2022.
The pilot campaign was undertaken in Castlebar, Ireland and was followed by similar campaigns in Donegal and Sligo. The aim of the SME engagement campaign – inspired by Durham County Council’s good practice, BEEP, and identified as a transferrable good practice through SME POWER – was to inform other SMEs of the benefit of energy saving measures and the support (i.e., monetary and advisory) available from Better Energy Communities (BEC).
The event, titled “SMEs and Community Grant Supports” attracted seventeen attendees, including three SMEs who received 1-to-1 support from both Clar ICH and SEAI personnel during the event.
