Over the past months, our partners at Energy Agency of the Region of Castilla y León (EREN) have been taking measures to monitor the success of the recently launched "lean SME Platform". The lean SME Platform is an initiative launched by EREN in Spain as the Action Plan in the Interreg Europe SME POWER project, which aimed at promoting energy efficiency and sustainability in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The platform offers a range of services and resources to help SMEs identify and implement energy-saving measures, such as energy audits, technical assistance and funding opportunities.
Through the lean SME Platform, SMEs can access a wide range of tools and resources to optimise their energy use, reduce their carbon footprint and improve their competitiveness in the market. The platform also provides support for the adoption of renewable energy sources and technologies, as well as for the development of sustainable business practices.
Overall, the lean SME Platform is a valuable resource for SMEs looking to improve their energy efficiency and sustainability, and it represents an important step forward in the transition to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly economy.
To ensure the platform’s success, the regional SME POWER action plan in Castilla y León had foreseen various monitoring meetings with stakeholders, which took place on the 8th of February as a face-to-face meeting with specialists in energy as well as in web software development to improve technical aspects of the platform itself. Additionally, on the 14th of February, the platform was presented in an online meeting to a group of more than 20 industrial companies from the automotive sector, one of the main generators of employment in the region.
