As one of the activities envisaged within the project work plan, the Spanish SME POWER working group of experts from the regional energy sector, RES-CyL (Regional Energy Stakeholders of Castilla y León), met on the 22nd of January for the first time. The group is made up of representatives of SMEs, business associations, unions, technology centres and representatives from the regional administration.

The first working meeting of the regional stakeholder group was held in the Business Solutions Centre of Junta de Castilla y León, located in Arroyo de la Encomienda, Valladolid (Spain). During this workshop, all members contributed valuable experiences and knowledge, discussing potential improvements in the regional policies of Castilla y León to support energy efficiency in SMEs.

RES-CyL members were organised into five working groups, offering their perspectives on improvement proposals derived from the surveys previously completed by the participants to the event. The methodology followed was a "Force Field Analysis", explained by EREN, in which forces in favour of and against the improvement proposals where identified and scored.

The conclusions reached through this workshop are a valuable analysis that will highlight the factors that can boost the improvement of energy efficiency policies to support SMEs in Castilla y León.
