On Tuesday, October 26, 2021, the representatives of South Muntenia RDA organized, through the ZOOM application, an online stakeholder meeting of actors interested in reviewing policies on ecological social housing within the project "Social Green - Regional policies for ecological social housing".

During the event, participants were informed that the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency applied to the 5th call of the Interreg Europe Program to finance additional activities to analyze the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in the field of regional policies related to ecological social housing, addressed through the Social Green project.

Thus, the extension of the project implementation period by 12 months (October 1, 2021 - September 30, 2022) was approved by the Monitoring Committee of the Interreg Europe Program.

The meeting presented the new activities that will take place in the next period as well as the results of the project so far. In the next period, SMRDA wants the project to analyze the impact of the pandemic on people belonging to vulnerable groups who have lost their jobs, thus increasing the demand for social housing and deepening the level of energy poverty.

The meeting also had an interactive part, the design of a SWOT Analysis in the South - Muntenia Region on "Effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in the field of regional policies for green social housing, addressed by the Social Green project", which led to discussions on various topics, such as energy rehabilitation, eradication of energy poverty and the influences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
