In line with the Sustainable Development Goals, the European Commission launched in 2018 the European Sustainability Award.
What are the Sustainable Development Goals ?
In 2015, the UN adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals focused on fighting poverty, climate change, for gender equality and economic growth, amongst others objectives.
Thus, businesses, governments and civil society are working together in order to build a better world for the people and a better future for our children and their own children.
What is the European Sustainability Award ?
The prime goal of this European contest is to put in light the concrete and innovative solutions European stakeholders have build to improve our planet, economy and everyday life.
The contestants can be from 4 different categories : Youth, Public bodies, Private bodies and Civil Society.
This year's theme is Empowering people and ensuring inclusiveness and equality.
