Photonics is applied in a wide range of fields, including manufacturing, ICT, healthcare, and offers enormous business opportunities in the development of cutting-edge materials and devices.
Bilateral meetings between different actors will aim at fostering the much needed cooperation to increase these opportunities, combined with multilateral working group meetings to take into account the unique circumstances per industry sector. The working groups are:
- Lasers in manufacturing, advanced metrology and quality control
- Imaging and displays
- Photonics in ICT
- Photonics in Aerospace
- Photonics in life sciences
