The meeting is hosted by Brasov County Council with a great help of many important key stakeholders. Project partners,local municipalities,local university,representatives of tourist and transport operators,landscape parks authorities, forest inspectorates, tourist organisations, cultural institutions, nature and culture related associations, local entrepreneurs and other key stakeholders are expected to participate in this study visit and to derive benefitsfrom the project network. During the Study Visit, Brasov County is presenting five local Good Practices related to green mobility, trail-related infrastructure and services, information, communication and co-operation and trail management and governance together with enhancing values of local natural and cultural heritage:
• ConnectingtrailsbetweenHistorical Center and Rasnov Citadel – presentation of the tourist route developed by the construction of the elevator with rack that allows the ecological connection of the Historical Center with Râșnov Fortress, Dino Park and Valea Cetăţii Cave;
• ThematictrailswithinPiatra Craiului National Park– The Information Center opened for a detailed information on the biodiversity and the need for the protection of the forest, the fauna and the geological uniqueness and the importance of maintaining these values for the next generations and the Zarnesti Gorge with ways to promote, educate and increase the accessibility of tourists to routes and information of interest;
• Eco-touristictrail network in Poarta Carpatilor– developed by the Center for Mountain Ecology, by highlighting the natural and agro-pastoral wealth of the area, the local cultural heritage and the public-private partnership regarding the development of ecotourism and its sustainability;
• Eco-touristictrail network in Magura Codlea Mountain– highlighting the methods of rehabilitation and marking of the six routes, to increase the accessibility of tourists to the objectives created, as well as to future mobility projects that will be developed in the area, of sustainable development of ecotourism through education, information and awareness of natural values.
• The network of hiking and biking trails in Transylvanian Highlands- developing an extensive network of hiking and cycling routes to connect the villages with fortified churches, the main attraction of the destination of Transylvania Hills, to promote the richness of the biodiversity of the hilly pastures of SE Transylvania, the cultural heritage and the local gastronomic culture.
