ThreeT project is holding its 6th Study Visit on 28-30 October 2019 in Livorno province, Italy.

The event is hosted jointly by the project Lead Partner Livorno province and the partner Tuscany Region.

Project partners, representatives of Managing Authorities, territorial municipalities, tourist and transport operators and other key stakeholders are expected to participate to the Study Visit.

The following Good Practices (GPs) shall be inspected:

 

 PERLA 1 & 2

    1. Promoting beach accessible in safety conditions and introducing an innovative signaling system for tourists and other beach users, as well as beach resorts equipped for the disabled,

    2. Electric train as an example of sustainable mobility connecting villages with coastal resorts. Transport bus for disabled. Other aspects of the provincial Local Transport System.

 

VAL DI CORNIA PARKS PROJECT: PARKS AND MUSEUMS WITHOUT BARRIERS

The system of Parks and Museums includes two Archaeological Parks, four Natural Parks, three Museums and a Documentation Center, in the area of five Municipalities in the extreme south of the province of Livorno, facing the island of Elba. The system has developed a project with an innovative governance and has also made the facilities and routes accessible to people with reduced mobility wherever possible.

 

• A SEA OF CITRUS FRUITS

The thematic routes (such as the citrus fruit, as well as historical and mining trails) offer an opportunity for experiential tourism for the visitors.

The supply chain is not only that of production, processing and marketing of horticultural and other agricultural product but integrates also the tourist services present in the island as well as in other territories partner of this interregional project.

At the end of Day 1, a mini workshop introducing the Thalassotherapy Health Path will take place at Tombolo Talasso Resort, Marina di Castagneto, tying up with similar health experiences made in Finland and Hungary.

After two and half days on site, a workshop on Good Practice evaluation and Action Plan preparation will conclude the Visit.
