1st monitoring period in Slovenia

Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia, partner of the TRINNO project, is extremely satisfied with the results of the first monitoring of their Action plan. First action »Improved financial incentives for SMEs - vouchers scheme« is a huge success on national level. The main player is the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology that attended staff exchange in Ireland and prepared new vouchers scheme in Slovenia. They work closely with Slovenian Enterprise Fund who published vouchers calls.

Successful staff exchange in Roscommon Ireland attended by Ministry of Economic Development and Technology Slovenia and Development Centre of the Heart of Slovenia and hosted by Local Entreprise office Roscommon and WestBIC.

Since January 2019, the voucher system in Slovenia has significantly simplified access to co-financing individual services, which help companies to strengthen their competitiveness and competences. By the end of 2019 thirteen calls for vouchers in different areas were published such as quality certificates, intellectual property protection, internationalization; digitalization and digital strategy, cyber security, digital competencies and digital marketing, status transformation voucher, business excellence voucher and ownership transfer voucher. The most approved applications are within digitalization and internationalization vouchers. There were altogether 4,163 applications received and 2,599 were approved in the amount of 9,980,959.98 EUR. The Ministry already paid 521 vouchers in the amount of 1,787,047.67 EUR. The results are beyond expectations and the feedback from companies is very positive, since the application process is very simple and time to receive money a lot shorter than is was in the previous vouchers scheme. TRINNO project has contributed greatly to this success.

The second action »Subsidised trainings for craftsmen to boost digital innovations and new innovative product / services development« is implementing within LAG cooperation project “From traditional skills to modern rural tourism products". The inspiration for this project proposal came from TRINNO and it was successfully granted. First activities are already implementing and on schedule. The project has started in September and craftsmen were informed about the trainings that will occur in 2020.
