The Kalundborg case in Denmark is a famous example of industrial symbiosis, which involves chemical companies, such as the oil refinery and sulphuric acid plants.
Within the framework of Research2Business 2018, the 13th international conference on knowledge transfer and innovation will held in Bologna. TRIS partners in Emilia-Romagna organised a vision conference to share the innovation opportunities deriving from “chemistry” as an innovation enabler for a whole set of other productive sectors.
After focusing on sustainable chemistry, the conference will explore the opportunities deriving from substituting fossil based resources with green chemistry resources and has a focus on Emilia-Romagna regional context.
