On Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th September Industrial Symbiosis Limited will be hosting a staff exchange with Joan Pau Plaza Villanueva from AIDIMME Instituto Technologico .
The first day will comprise of visits to demonstrate circular economy and good practices initiatives in the region. These have been organised with Alutrade one of the largest recyclers of aluminium extrusion scrap in the UK and Recycled UK who have evolved into one of the country’s leading providers of total waste management solutions.
The second day will include a presentation on how International Synergies Limited are delivering wide-scale environmental, economic and social benefits stimulating the transition of industrial symbiosis and how this translates to a world-wide audience.
Followed by a further site visit to The European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) who deliver world-class bioenergy and energy systems research. It acts as a focus for international activities on scientific and technological aspects of biomass conversion and utilisation of products for renewable power, heat, transport fuels, hydrogen and chemicals.
This visit was organised within the TRIS project, with a clear aim to build knowledge about the economic and environmental benefits of industrial symbiosis.
