The LWL, the Regional Association of Westphalia-Lippe, held a maintenance seminar in public parks at House Stapel manor, in Havixbeck in June2022. LWL is the counterpart of the Rhineland Regional Council and in the UL2L Project an importen Stakeholder of the LVR.
As a part of the UL2L project the park maintenance seminar represents a measure for the development of green spaces. A important part is the inculsion of volunteers to participate in park maintenance work in historic gardens. In addition to the horticultural work, the seminar conveys methods of garden monument preservation as well as a basic understanding of gardens as valuable habitats and the challenges of climate change.
