The UpGradeSME project aims towards improving policy instruments for SME internationalization. The main approach of the project is the shared learning process and active involvement of international stakeholders. Besides, a structured know-how transfer on a macro-regional policy level shall ensure an effective capitalization of knowhow.

The herein described policy dialog event shall foster a transnational exchange of experience as it brings together experienced actors directly involved with innovative SMEs that want to be or already are active on an international level.

The event is organized back-to back with the 6th Annual Forum of the EUSDR in Budapest and will therefore bring together stakeholders from all UpGradeSME target groups such as policy makers, managing authorities and the general public. Moreover, four out of eight UpGradeSME project partners – including the Lead Partner PBN- derive from the Danube Region and are therefore directly affected by the discussed topics and linked to the invitees. The event also marks the official withdrawal of Prof. Dr. Höptner activities for the EU strategy for the Danube Region.

Start of the event at 11.30 on the 19th OCTOBER in the “Arcade” restaurant of the Novotel City Hotel Budapest.
