The Hungarian delegation (Pannon Business Network and Prime Minister’s Office) met the colleagues of FSS on the 11th of October 2022 at the headquarters of Fomento San Sebastian to deeply analyse the preliminary identified good practices: INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY PROGRAMME: CONNECTING TALENT INTERNSHIPS and EKIN+ and to exchange about local supporting measures and relevant Hungarian policies.

Mrs. Yesenia Otamendi responsible for Innovation and Competitiveness at FMMS presented the 2 Good practices and local initiatives.

As an introduction it is outlines that Fomento San Sebastian aims at promoting the transformation of the city's local development model through innovation, cohesion and sustainability. Their mission is to promotes a Sustainable and Smart development of the city, boosting: TALENT, INNOVATION and INTERNATIONAL strategy for the city. The goal is to become a local and International leading Institution in the development and consolidation of innovative projects. The strategic line of their activity is:

EKIN+ is a 10-month advisory program to start an innovative project that has been updated to overcome the current challenges, becoming more digital and international for the post covid era. Consists of 10 months of advice distributed in two phases. A first intensive phase of 4 months and another follow-up phase, 6 months. During this time: Access is provided to co-working space, Financing and Personal and group assessment + Grants of 5,000 euro.

‘EKIN+ coworking space (in the Talent House building) to develop your project’: Financing will be provided, so target groups will have preferential access to the Elkargi Guarantee Fund. Advice and specialized training to develop own financial plan, own business model, personal skills, innovation, industrial and intellectual property, market entry or internationalization strategy. The applicants will have individual tutorials so that they can achieve the objectives set and design the own roadmap.

They will obtain financial aid (up to 5,000 euros) to be able to dedicate themselfs to meeting the objectives established in the own roadmap and they will validate the project as an Innovative Project. In this way, the target players will be able to participate in the calls for programs and grants from Fomento San Sebastián, provided that they meet the requirements indicated in each grant and request it properly. The SMEs to will be part of a community of companies with high potential.

 

INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY PROGRAMME aims that young people with university degrees and advanced vocational training can stay in leading organizations abroad, which enhances their mobility to develop their innovation capabilities and improve their job opportunities after their experience. It also creates and promotes international connections in the city's innovation ecosystem, as well as develop skills and offer value-added professional opportunities to young people from Donostia.

The GP will include the "Develop your own-project" programme: Develop a 6-month stay in leading organizations abroad, which promotes the mobility of young people from San Sebastian to develop their innovation skills and allows them to carry out projects based on their academic profile that improve their employment through projects that have been defined by the students.
