The 5th International Partner Meeting for the Interreg Europe VIOLET Project will take place from the 13th to 15th of May, in beautiful Middelburg, Netherlands.

To kick-off the three day event, a staff exchange meeting will be held on the 13th of May. This will be an interactive round table discussion with a few short presentations regarding VIOLET project progress in Middelburg, with special focus on the free and easy energy efficiency measure permit procedure and user friendly technical guide, the ‘’Monument Passport’’, research done by the HZ University of Applied Sciences and a new thin insulation foil for single glass to increase energy efficiency in buildings.

On the 14th of May, the main partner meeting with project-focussed sessions will take place. This will engage not only VIOLET partners, but also some VIOLET stakeholders across Europe—specifically those stakeholders from Cyprus who will attend the meeting for a comprehensive project update and to further encourage interregional cooperation in the common European goal of incorporating energy efficiency measures in historical buildings.

Finally, the VIOLET partner meeting will conclude with a study visit to Middelburg monuments undergoing energy efficiency upgrades on the 15th of May.
