The French Agency for Mediterranean cities and territories (AVITEM) gathered various key organizations from Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region on 8th September 2016 in Marseilles (France), in order to present ZEROCO2 project and discuss the overall project's approach.
The objective of the workshop was to set up and lead a group of local and regional stakeholders on zero CO2 emissions in public buildings due to energy uses. The introduction of this dynamic anchored the project at local level and identified several areas for concrete and operational actions, that could benefit to all the stakeholders. As only French project partner, AVITEM is in charge of the project to be consistent with the policy instrument targeted by the project (ERDF PACA OP 2014-2020), and guarantees the influence of the regional territory and its economic and technological assets.
During this workshop, various characteristics of "zero CO2 approach" have been debated: what technical challenges ? What energy issues ? What regulatory issues ?
The results of those debates have been presented to ZERO CO2 project partners in Berlin on 14th September.
