On the 8th June 2022, an Interregional full day Good Practice Peer Review Forum is being held in Malta with the participation of all Interreg Europe ZeroCo2 Project Partners, their invited stakeholders and a select of key stakeholders from Malta, totalling about 50 attendees.
Twelve Good Practice actions on energy efficiency in public buildings have been identified and these will undergo critical peer review analysis from all attendees, before being presented to the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform for publication on the Interreg Europe website.
During the opening session, the Forum will be addressed by the following:
• Prof. Simon Fabri, Pro-Rector (Research and Knowledge Transfer), University of Malta,
• Prof. Luciano Mule' Stagno, Director, Institute for Sustainable Energy,
• Ms Abigail Camilleri, Director, Funds and Programmes Division, Office of the Prime Minister
• Ms Theresa Zahra, Acting Head of EU Representation in Malta
The Lead Partner, Ms. Tea Potocnik, from Ptuj, Slovenia will present next, and Dr. Chris Ashe from EIfI-Tech, Germany will then be leading the Peer Review process.
The event is being co-organised by Dr. Ing. Charles Yousif, Ing. Krista Rizzo and Ing. Damien Gatt from the Institute for Sustainable Energy of the University of Malta, together with the project coordinator Ms. Tea Potocnik.
On the second day, 9th June 2022, the event will continue with a Steering Committee Meeting to further consolidate the works and deliverables of the project for the last quarter until September 2022.
The Project ZeroCO2 has been awarded additional funded under the Fifth Interreg Europe Call for Proposal for additional activities linked with the impact of COVID-19 on energy policy action plans towards decarbonisation of public buildings and social housing sectors.
