On Thursday, February 23, 2023, the South Muntenia Regional Development Agency organised online, through the Zoom platform, the first regional dissemination and training event within the SHREC project.
The working meeting was intended for stakeholders in the use of renewable energies to support the transition to a low-carbon economy and the community of key actors who signed the Collaboration Convention within the South Muntenia Learning and Capacity Building Program (SM-LCBP).
Through the event, the learning and consolidation activities were launched according to SHREC Action Plan, which is in the second phase of implementation. Topics such as energy efficiency in buildings/housing, SRE integration and supporting legislation will be addressed and concepts such as nZEB and citizens' energy communities will be promoted.
During the meeting, the South Muntenia RDA project team presented the implementation stage and the Action Plan for the South Muntenia region, funding sources for energy efficiency projects as well as the new Enterprise Europe Network services in terms of sustainability dedicated to SMEs.
At the same time, two representatives of the project's stakeholders presented to the audience relevant information to potential beneficiaries: Research initiatives in the field of energy resilience and renewable energy sources (University Lecturer Mihai Sănduleac, Faculty of Power Engineering, the University Politehnica of Bucharest) and Valorisation of renewable energy sources in Romania using results of the research activity ( Dr. Eng. Gabriela CÎRCIUMARU, Head of Renewable Sources and Energy Efficiency Department, National Institute for R&D in Electrical Engineering ICPE-CA Bucharest).
