The explanatory video about the 2LIFES project has been released! This two-minute video summarizes the project's objectives, tasks and results.
2LIFES has helped public authorities from different regions in Europe promote re-use as a waste prevention strategy with many environmental and socioeconomic benefits. The project aimed to bridge the existing gap in re-use initiatives and policy-making, encouraging partners to learn from each other.
To this purpose, partners have carried out a number of actions, from identification of local best practices and psychosocial barriers to re-use per group and waste stream to mentoring workshops, staff exchanges, and study visits.
This learning journey leads to an Action Plan, a document laying down specific measures and initiatives to promote re-use in each region or municipality. Therefore, Action Plans are a fruit of interregional cooperation, in which information exchange and lessons learnt are used to improve local policies.
