More EU funds are allocated for renewable energy investments in Poland. The first five contracts were signed to support the use of renewable energy sources (RES) in Poland. Beneficiaries are the towns of Tomaszów Lubelski, Kraśnik, Radzyń Podlaski and the counties of Nałęczów and Parczew. The value of co-financing from these agreements under the Regional Operational Program is over 2 million EUR. Thanks to these resources, households are going to have installed i. a. photovoltaic installations and solar collectors.
Eco- communes
The commune Nałęczów is to deploy an energy management system, as well as construct solar collectors, biomass boilers and photovoltaic cells. The total number of such constructions is going to reach 351, all under the project „Eco – energy in Nałęczów commune - stage II”, with value to amount close to 1 million EUR (almost 500,000 € of European funds).
The new solar cells and collectors are also going to be installed in the commune of Parczew. Namely, 411 pieces of installations will be purchased thanks to the project called "Clean energy in Parczew Commune – the solar panels".
RES in Tomaszów Lubelski, Kraśnik and Radzyń
„Renewable energy sources in the town of Tomaszów Lubelski” is a name of the project that is going to enable construction of photovoltaic installations, solar collectors, biomass boilers and heat pumps for individual household needs. In number, 467 installations of variable kinds will be constructed.
Then, Kraśnik town committed more than 800,000 EUR (European support of almost 400,000 €) for implementation of the project „New energy for Kraśnik III”. The project is going to lead to construction of the installation of photovoltaic installations, solar collectors and biomass boilers (pellet) – in the total number of 266. The plans also include an online portal design and execution, which is to have educational, as well as promotional purposes, simultaneously offering online service for local residents.
New photovoltaic installations are also to appear in Radzyń Podlaski. Moreover, the “Solar Radzyń” project is to be realized, with a total amount of installations on private buildings to reach 70.
