On November 20th and November 21st, the project partners of Beyond EDP gathered together once more for a monitoring meeting, this time in the city of Groningen (the Netherlands).
It was not only a rewarding meeting for the Beyond EDP partners. Part of the programme was a combined workshop with the Interreg Europe project RELOS3. During the workshops, interactive discussions took place on hydrogen innovation ecosystem, s3 platform monitoring tools, and increasing transparency in the innovation ecosystem. Our guest speakers were Mathieu Doussineau (a policy analysist at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre), Jan Jaap Aué (Dean Centre of Expertise Energy, and Peter van Kampen (Deputy director UGNWG – Northern Knowledge). At the workshop by Mathieu Doussineau, the participants got the scoop in getting to know and give feedback on a new S3 IT-tool in which profiles of regions can be developed.
Aside from this combined workshop, the partners presented the progress of their action plans and discussed any questions they had or issues they are currently facing. This brought lively discussions in which partners with similar issues could, together, come to possible solutions.
The monitoring meeting and adjacent workshops took place at several locations throughout the city, introducing the partners to the most sustainable educational building in the Netherlands (Energy Academy Europe) and one of the best known University-buildings in the city (Van Swinderen Huys).
All in all, the monitoring meeting resulted in a few fruitful days, in which we all connected with other partners from the RELOS3 project as well as, once again, with each other.
