The FNCOFOR organized a study visit on 21 and 22 September 2022, in France (Jura region)
First day, the programm includes some presentations ( French National Forestry System and ClimEssence: climate change adaptation tool). It also includes a visit of a public forest nursery: La Sécherie de la Joux, and field visits of public forests ( State owned forest: example of “biological reserve”; and Municipality owned forest: example of an uneven-aged forest).
On the second day, after the Bio4Eco - Steering committee, they have been some presentations of national and local tools for timber traceability and use into public building.
The program ended with two visits around timber processing and use: a municipal worksite using local timber, and an Innovative timber factory.
