More than 40 forest sector experts discussed the development of an action plan for the use of forest biomass as a renewable energy source. Discussions took place during the second meeting of the Inter-ministerial expert working group of stakeholders at workshops on 23 and 24 March 2017 in Velingrad.
The Forum is organized by the Forestry Agency under the Regional Policy for Sustainable Bioenergy Program under the INTERREG program,
It is expected that by the beginning of 2018 the Plan will be drafted and presented for public discussion.
